Additional Information

The use of rotation units is the simplest way to increase a camera's field of view. Together with manual controllers and "moto-zoom" lenses, they allow for precise tracking of a given event. A fixed camera is always pointed at a specific area, and its positioning does not always allow for noticing details of the observed image. If we place the camera on a rotation unit and additionally equip it with a "moto-zoom" lens, it will be possible to control the field of view

Remote control operation

A solid industrial remote control is included with the unit. It allows for controlling the unit at a distance of 100m using the standard included antenna. When using a directional antenna, the transmission distance can be multiplied.

Logic of operation: The unit is controlled using the included remote. The remote uses directional buttons (e.g., rotation left, rotation right) operating on bistable logic. This means that pressing and releasing a specific button activates constant movement in the chosen direction. Pressing and releasing the same button again stops this movement.

It is important that functions for opposite directions are mutually exclusive. To start rotating to the right, you must first stop (by pressing the button again) the currently ongoing left rotation. A similar principle applies to vertical axis movement (up/down), if the unit has such functionality and operates in the default bistable mode: to start moving down, you must first stop the upward movement, and vice versa. (This was shown in the video attached to the unit description.)

Additionally, there is an option to switch the control mode for the vertical axis (up/down). In this alternative mode, vertical movement control works on the principle of a momentary button. This means: Pressing and holding the "up" button causes the unit to move up. This movement lasts as long as the button is held down.

Releasing the "up" button immediately stops the upward movement. The "down" button works analogously – downward movement occurs only while it is held down.

In this mode, left/right rotation control still functions according to the previously described bistable logic (press and release to start movement; press and release again to stop).
