The EXT-POE3 extender is an advanced network device from Pulsar, designed for professional IP monitoring systems and network installations where increasing the data transmission and PoE power distance is required. The main task of this module is to regenerate the Ethernet signal and pass PoE power for another 100 meters using standard category 5 or 5e UTP twisted-pair cable. It is an ideal solution in situations where an IP camera or other end device is located at a distance greater than the standard 100 meters from the power-sourcing switch.
The advantage of the device is its remarkable ease of installation and the lack of need for additional external power, as the extender draws energy directly from the PoE (Power over Ethernet) line. The EXT-POE3 model has one input (PoE IN) and three outputs (PoE OUT), which allows for splitting the signal and power to three independent devices, such as IP cameras. Please note, however, that the device is dedicated to 10/100 Mb/s networks and does not support the Gigabit Ethernet standard.
