The EXT-POE4 extender is an advanced network device designed by the renowned Pulsar brand, which enables effective extension of PoE power and data transmission distance using standard category 5e UTP twisted-pair cable. Thanks to this solution, users can extend the network range by an additional 100 meters, which, combined with the base segment, allows for an impressive distance of 200 meters between the signal source and the terminal device, such as an IP camera or access point.
The device is characterized by exceptional flexibility in terms of power configuration. It can be powered directly via twisted-pair pairs 4/5 and 7/8 or locally using an external 48V DC power adapter. The selection of the preferred power source is done intuitively using a dedicated configuration jumper located inside the device. The solid metal housing not only protects the electronics from mechanical damage but also supports heat dissipation, which guarantees trouble-free operation even in demanding environmental conditions.
Installation safety is a priority, which is why the EXT-POE4 has been equipped with a comprehensive package of protections, including surge, overload, and short-circuit protection.
