PROTECT-218 is an advanced mobile recorder designed for operation in harsh transport conditions. The device is ideal for coaches, city buses, trams, subways, and special vehicles such as police cars, ambulances, prison transport vehicles, or military vehicles. The recorder's construction has been optimized for high resistance to shocks and vibrations, which is confirmed by compliance with the MIL-STD-810G standard. The recorder supports 2.5-inch drives with a capacity of up to 2 TB, ensuring a long recording archiving time.
The power supply system has been designed with automotive installation in mind – the device is connected to the battery and the ignition switch, which allows for automatic recording start when the key is turned. An additional advantage is the built-in power backup system, which allows for continued recording for 8 seconds after a sudden power loss. The recorder has 4 video inputs, including specialized M12 connectors, enabling the connection of DSM (driver behavior monitoring) and ADAS (vehicle traffic analysis) cameras.
The device offers extensive analytical functions thanks to the built-in GPS module, 3-axis G-Sensor, and gyroscope. This allows for precise route recording and detection of traffic events, such as collisions, hard braking, or dangerous cornering. Thanks to Wi-Fi support, the recorder enables automatic data synchronization, which significantly facilitates fleet management.
