The external, autonomous ATLO-KRM-821 keypad is a professional access control solution that combines modern design with top-tier functionality. The device has been designed to operate in harsh weather conditions, as confirmed by its high IP68 protection rating. The solid, metal housing with a slim profile allows for installation in spaces with limited room, such as fence posts or narrow door frames.

The lock offers a rich set of additional features, such as blue keypad backlighting for easy operation after dark, a built-in doorbell button, and acoustic and optical status signaling. The system allows for storing up to 2000 users, making it an ideal solution for single-family homes as well as small offices or industrial facilities. The device also supports advanced alarm functions, including signaling for doors left open, which prevents unauthorized access through ajar entrances. With support for an exit button and a door sensor, the ATLO-KRM-821 acts as a complete access control point.

The main advantage of the device is its autonomy – the lock does not require an external controller for proper operation, which significantly simplifies installation and lowers system costs. Users can choose from three identification methods: via 125kHz Unique RFID proximity card, by entering an individual PIN code, or a combination of both, which significantly increases the security level of the protected object.

Software and configuration

The device has a built-in programming interface operated directly from the device's keypad. The device operating system allows for precise management of the 2000-user database via indexing. The administrator has the ability to configure the relay operating mode, bolt hold time, and define access rules (card only, code only, or both simultaneously). The system also supports a 'tamper' function that reacts to unauthorized opening of the housing and allows for integration with an alarm system through notification of ajar doors. The device logic also allows for the connection of an external Wiegand reader for two-way control.
