Description

In installations where there are long connections between the device and the service point, or in installations located outside buildings, short-term overvoltages induced in the cables often occur. They are caused by load changes and lightning strikes. To reduce the risk of damage to devices connected to such lines, overvoltage limiting systems are used. The protection module was developed for such applications. The built-in two-stage protection system suppresses most of the surges induced in the cables to a level safe for the connected devices.
