A key advantage of using the terminal block is a significant increase in the safety and continuity of the entire system. In the absence of individual protection for each receiver, it is enough for an intruder or a failure to cause a short circuit on one camera line for the entire system to be deprived of power. The use of the module eliminates this risk – each of the five outputs has its own time-lag fuse. In the event of a short circuit or overload on one of the tracks, only the power supply for that specific device is cut off, while the other four cameras or sensors operate without any interference. This is critical in property protection systems, where every second of recording interruption can be costly.
An additional advantage of the device is the built-in diagnostic intelligence. The module has an AW technical output of the Open Collector type, which changes its state when any of the fuses blow.
