The main advantage of the device is the use of a high-class electrochemical sensor of type B, which is characterized by exceptional precision and stability of operation throughout the entire service life of up to 10 years. Thanks to this, the user gains certainty that the protection system is reliable and does not require frequent replacement of detection components.
Another important element is the built-in LCD display. Unlike simple sensors that signal a threat only with LEDs, the Virone DC-11 continuously presents the current carbon monoxide concentration in ppm (parts per million) units. This allows for real-time monitoring of the situation and quick reaction in case of an increase in gas levels. The display also informs about low battery status and the approaching end of the sensor's life, which eliminates the risk of being left without protection.
The device is fully autonomous and battery-powered (2x AA), which means it works even during a power grid failure. The lack of need for wiring makes installation extremely simple and possible in any room – bedroom, living room, or boiler room. A loud alarm siren with an intensity of over 85 dB ensures that the warning signal will be heard even by sleeping people.
Product advantages:
- High sensitivity due to the electrochemical sensor.
- Clear LCD display with CO concentration preview.
- Long service life of 10 years.
- Full mobility and ease of installation without cables.
- Compliance with strict European standards EN 50291-1.
- Self-test function allowing to check the device's efficiency.
- High-intensity optical and acoustic signaling.

The Virone DC-11 carbon monoxide detector is an advanced safety device that should be in every home equipped with heating appliances burning solid, gaseous, or liquid fuels. Carbon monoxide, commonly known as CO, is an odorless, colorless, and highly toxic gas, making it extremely dangerous to the health and life of household members. The DC-11 model has been designed to effectively detect even small concentrations of this gas, informing about the threat long before symptoms of poisoning occur.

Software
The device has a built-in microprocessor control system that manages detection logic and the user interface. This software implements advanced algorithms for analyzing gas concentration over time, which prevents false alarms during momentary fluctuations. The sensor's operating system monitors the state of the electrochemical sensor and, in case of detecting chemical degradation of the cell, immediately informs the user with an error code on the LCD display. The digital interface also supports a power-saving mode, turning off unnecessary display elements when the CO concentration is within the norm, which significantly extends the operating time on one set of batteries. Additionally, the device software manages self-test cycles, which are performed automatically to ensure the continuity of protection.
