1Purpose and Functions

The professional wireless magnetic sensor (reed switch) ACTii AC1741 is an advanced security device designed to protect homes, offices, garages, and retail locations. The system consists of a main unit with a built-in 105dB alarm siren and a wireless remote control. The device reacts to opening doors or windows, which breaks the magnetic circuit and instantly triggers the alarm or a welcome chime.

Thanks to its versatility, the product serves two key roles: as an effective intruder deterrent in alarm mode and as a practical entrance chime in chime mode, informing you of the arrival of customers or guests. The system is characterized by exceptional environmental resistance and ease of operation, making it an ideal solution for users looking for a reliable and non-invasive security system.

Available operating modes:

The device offers four main functions controlled via the remote:

• Arming Mode: Activates full protection; opening the door/window triggers a loud siren.
• Disarming Mode: Disables alarm functions, allowing free use of the passage.
• SOS Mode (Panic): Immediate siren trigger in case of life or health emergencies.
• Chime Mode (Doorbell): Generates a soft sound signal every time the door is opened.

3Installation and Assembly

Preparation for operation:

1. Open the battery cover on the main unit and insert two AAA batteries, observing correct polarity.
2. Ensure the battery in the remote (12V 27A) is functional (it comes pre-installed).
3. Test the device operation before final attachment by moving the magnet toward and away from the sensor.

Physical installation:

The device is mounted using the included double-sided tapes. Follow these guidelines:

• Surface: The mounting area must be clean, dry, and degreased.
• Positioning: Mount the main unit (sensor) on the door/window frame, and the smaller element (magnet) on the moving part of the door/window.
• Operating gap: The distance between the sensor and the magnet in the closed position cannot exceed 20 mm.
• Alignment: The arrows on the housings of both components should face each other.

The ACTii AC1741 system can be expanded with additional remotes (model AC1451). To pair a new remote:

1. Remove one battery from the main unit.
2. Reinsert the battery and immediately press the arming button on the new remote.
3. A long beep will confirm successful pairing.

5Safety and Maintenance

The product complies with EU safety standards (CE) and the RoHS directive limiting the use of hazardous substances in electronic equipment. Dispose of used equipment at an electronic waste collection point.
