1 Purpose and Functions

The ACTii AC9863 portable mini recorder is an advanced digital device designed for professional use by law enforcement, police, detectives, and inspectors. The kit consists of a compact recorder with an LCD screen and an external Full HD camera equipped with IR LEDs, enabling effective event recording both day and night.

The device is ideal not only as a personal camera but also as a recorder in vehicles (cars, buses, trucks), construction machinery, and for documenting lectures or meetings. Thanks to efficient H.264 compression and SD card support, the system ensures long recording times while maintaining the highest image and sound quality.

Control and operation:

The device has been designed with ergonomics in mind. The recorder has a dedicated button on the side of the housing for quick recording activation. A similar button is located on the camera housing and the included clip, allowing for an immediate reaction in crisis situations. The remote control allows starting and stopping recording without the need to reach for the main device.

Preparation for work:

1. Insert a formatted Micro SD card (up to 64GB) into the slot on the recorder.
2. Connect the camera to the Mini HDMI socket on the recorder using the included cable.
3. Ensure the battery is charged or connect the device to a 5V power adapter.
4. Turn on the device with the power button. A live preview will appear on the LCD screen.

Recording modes:

• Standard recording: Manual start and stop of recording.
• Motion detection: The recorder starts recording automatically when motion is detected in the camera's field of view.
• Schedule: Ability to set specific hours during which the device should operate.
• Overwriting (Loop Recording): When the memory card is full, the device automatically deletes the oldest recordings to make room for new ones.
• Pre-detection / Pre-Capture: Function to record a few seconds before the actual event is detected.

WDR function and Microphone:

The camera is equipped with a WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) function that automatically balances image brightness. As a result, details are visible in both very dark and very bright parts of the frame. A separate microphone with an AGC (Auto Gain Control) system provides clear sound, adjusting gain to the level of ambient noise.

4 Safety and Maintenance

Maintenance:

The camera lens should be cleaned only with a soft microfiber cloth. Avoid using aggressive detergents. Regularly check the condition of the HDMI cable connecting the camera to the recorder to avoid interruptions in image transmission.
