1 Purpose and Functions
The high-quality ACTii AC7051 photoelectric barrier with a range of up to 15 meters is a professional solution designed for security systems and gate automation. The device consists of a transmitter and receiver operating in active infrared technology (940nm). It is ideal as a photocell for sliding, swing, and garage gates, effectively preventing them from closing when an obstacle (vehicle, person, or animal) is in the path of the beam. Thanks to its universal power supply and resistance to weather conditions, it can also be used as an alarm sensor in perimeter fence protection systems.
Main features:
- ✔ Compact dimensions and aesthetic design
- ✔ Operating range up to 15 meters
- ✔ Wide power supply range: 12V - 24V AC and DC
- ✔ NO or NC relay output (1A 36V)
- ✔ Resistance to harsh weather conditions (sealed housing)
- ✔ Advanced 940nm active infrared technology
Operating principle:
The transmitter (TX) emits an invisible infrared beam to the receiver (RX). Interrupting this beam by any object causes an immediate change in the state of the built-in relay, which sends a signal to the gate control unit or alarm system.

3 Installation and Connection
Mounting principles:
To ensure optimal device operation, the mounting height should be above 20 cm from the ground. The distance between the transmitter and receiver should not be less than 2 meters.
Transmitter (TX):
- • Connect power to the V+ and V- terminals (12-24V AC/DC).
- • Make sure the LED indicator shows operation.
Receiver (RX):
- • Connect power (12-24V AC/DC).
- • Use the COM and NO (or NC) contacts to connect to the control panel.
- • Configure the jumper for NO or NC mode according to the control panel requirements.
Calibration procedure:
- Mount the transmitter and receiver at the same height, ideally facing each other.
- After switching on the power, align the position of the devices until the LED on the receiver turns off (or changes state), indicating successful beam alignment.
- Test the barrier by cutting the beam with your hand – you should hear a relay click in the receiver.
- Attach the housings, ensuring the rubber seals are properly seated to ensure tightness.
4 Safety and Maintenance
Important safety instructions (EU Compliance):
- • Installation should be carried out by a person with appropriate technical qualifications.
- • Before starting installation work, absolutely disconnect the system power.
- • The device operates on low voltage (12-24V). Do not connect it directly to the 230V AC mains.
- • Regularly check the cleanliness of the front cover of the transmitter and receiver. Dust, mud, or snow may limit the operating range.
- • For outdoor mounting, ensure the rubber seals are properly installed to prevent moisture from entering the electronics.
