1 Purpose and Functions

The high-end ACTii AC2233 industrial camera is an advanced vision device equipped with a motor-zoom lens, which allows for 30x optical zoom. The heart of the camera is a proven 1/3 SONY Effio sensor with 700TVL resolution, guaranteeing high image quality and excellent color reproduction. The device has been designed for professional CCTV monitoring systems and advanced industrial automation systems where precise observation of objects with remote control of zoom and focus is required.

The camera is characterized by exceptional sensitivity (0.01 LUX) and the presence of a mechanical ICR filter, which, combined with the Auto-Iris function, makes the device perform perfectly in difficult lighting conditions and at night when used with IR illuminators. The Auto-Focus function ensures lightning-fast and precise focusing, which is effective from a distance of just 10 cm from the lens.

3 Control and Operation

Buttons on the housing:

The camera has a control panel located on the back of the housing, which allows for full configuration without the use of external controllers:

• MENU: Access to the camera's OSD screen menu, option confirmation.
• N (Near): Manual focus setting for objects located nearby.
• F (Far): Manual focus setting for distant objects.
• W (Wide): Decrease zoom (zoom out) - Optical zoom down.
• T (Tele): Increase zoom (zoom in on object) - Optical zoom up.

Remote control (RS485):

The camera supports the standard RS485 interface, which allows for its integration with DVR systems, PTZ control keyboards, or computers with capture cards. The device operates on the PELCO-D protocol. The user can choose the baud rate from the following values: 2400, 4800, or 9600 bps.

4 Installation and Safety Instructions

Connection:

1. Connect the video signal cable to the BNC connector (or S-Video depending on the installation).
2. If using remote control, connect the RS485 wires (A+ and B-) to the appropriate terminals on the controller or recorder.
3. Connect a 12V DC power supply with a minimum current capacity of 300mA. Pay attention to polarity.
4. After turning on the power, the camera will perform a lens calibration (Self-test Focus/Zoom).

Safety rules:

• The device must be powered only by stabilized 12V DC voltage. Exceeding this voltage may permanently damage the electronics.
• Installation should be performed by a person with basic knowledge of low-voltage installations.
• The camera has an aluminum housing, however, it should be protected from direct exposure to extreme weather conditions if it is not placed in an additional external enclosure.
• Do not touch the lens with your fingers. In case of dirt, clean only with a soft microfiber cloth.
• The device is compliant with CE and RoHS standards.
