The FOTEK PL-05N inductive proximity sensor is a professional electronic device designed for non-contact detection of metal objects within its sensing field. Thanks to the use of inductive technology, the sensor does not require physical contact with the detected element, which eliminates mechanical wear and significantly extends the device's service life. The product is widely used in industrial automation for positioning machine components, in counting systems, and in safety and alarm systems (e.g., signaling open windows or gates).

Wiring instructions:
The sensor is equipped with a 3-core cable 1 meter in length. The connection should be made according to the following color scheme:
- Brown: Positive power supply (+) 10-30V DC

3 Installation and Mounting
FLUSH mounting principles:
The PL-05N model is a sensor designed for flush mounting. This means that it can be embedded in metal material up to the point where its active surface (face) is flush with the surface of that material. This design does not impair the device's operating characteristics.
Installation tips:
- Ensure free space between the active surface of the sensor and the detected material to avoid mechanical damage.
- During installation, use the factory mounting holes with a diameter of 3.2 mm.
- When mounting multiple sensors side-by-side, maintain appropriate spacing to avoid mutual electromagnetic interference.
4 Safety and Maintenance
Warning:
The device operates on 10-30V DC. Installation work should be carried out by a person with appropriate electrotechnical qualifications.
- Power supply: Do not exceed the maximum supply voltage of 30V DC. Using alternating current (AC) will cause irreversible damage to the sensor.
- Polarity: Before switching on the power, ensure that the brown (+) and blue (-) wires are connected correctly.
- Load: Do not exceed the maximum output load current (150mA). Exceeding this value may lead to the burnout of the output transistor.
- Environment: Despite the solid housing, protect the sensor from direct exposure to strong acids and extremely high temperatures exceeding the operating range.
- Maintenance: The sensor does not require regular mechanical maintenance. You only need to keep the active surface (face) clean, as thick layers of metallic impurities can affect detection precision.
