1 Purpose and Functions

The F-type female to F-type female adapter, commonly known as a "barrel connector," is a high-quality passive component designed to connect two coaxial cables terminated with standard F-type plugs. The product is ideal for satellite (DVB-S/S2), terrestrial (DVB-T/T2), and cable television installations, enabling easy cable extension or repair of a broken section without needing to replace the entire cable. 3 Installation and Operating Instructions

Installing the adapter does not require specialist technical knowledge. To correctly connect the cables, follow these steps:

1. Prepare two coaxial cables, ensuring both are correctly terminated with male F-type plugs (screw-on or crimp).
2. Take the "barrel" adapter and screw the first F-plug onto one of the adapter's sockets, turning it clockwise until it is tight.
3. Screw the second F-plug onto the opposite adapter socket in the same way.
4. Ensure both connections are stable. It is recommended to tighten the plugs by hand. For stationary installations, a spanner may be used to ensure maximum electromagnetic tightness, being careful not to strip the thread.

4 Safety and Maintenance

Safety rules:

• The product is a passive component and does not carry high-voltage current; however, antenna installations may contain voltage powering amplifiers (usually 12V-18V). Before installation, it is recommended to disconnect the power from the decoder or antenna power supply.
• Protect the adapter from direct exposure to water and moisture. If used outdoors, the connection must be secured with a hermetic cover, rubber gasket, or self-vulcanizing tape.
• Keep the product out of reach of children due to its small dimensions (choking hazard).

Maintenance:

The product requires no regular maintenance. If a decrease in signal quality is observed, check if the connections have become loose or if corrosion (tarnish) has appeared on the threads. If necessary, clean the dry contacts with a soft cloth.
