1 Intended Use and Functions
The ACTii AC3512 active transmitter and receiver kit is designed for professional video signal transmission from a single camera using UTP twisted pair (category 5 or higher) over very long distances. The device provides video signal transmission up to 2400 meters for color cameras and up to 3000 meters for black and white cameras. The system is fully universal, supporting both traditional analog CVBS signals and modern high-resolution digital standards: AHD, CVI, and TVI (2MP, 4MP, 5MP). Thanks to active amplification technology, the device effectively reduces noise interference and improves image definition when connected to DVR recorders or Quad-type devices.

Signaling and Control:
- LED indicators: Red LED (POWER) indicates proper power supply, while green LED signals detection of an active video signal.
- Transmitter: Equipped with a 3-position range switch (L, M, H) allowing signal optimization based on cable length.
- Receiver: Features a 4-position sharpness switch (16 setting combinations) and a smooth image brightness adjustment knob.

3 Configuration and Installation
Transmitter Settings
The transmitter has a transmission mode switch that must be set based on the UTP cable distance:
- Mode L (Low): Distance from 0 to 1400m - 1700m
- Mode M (Medium): Distance from 1700m to 2000m
- Mode H (High): Distance above 2000m
Receiver Settings
The receiver allows for fine-tuning the image using a 4-position switch (DIP-switch) and a potentiometer:
- Focus: Set the switches according to the combination table included with the kit (16 modes) to achieve the best sharpness for the given cable length.
- Brightness: Use the knob to correct the video signal brightness level, eliminating potential dimming resulting from cable resistance.
Connecting Wires
Transmitter Connectors:

4 Safety Instruction
Before starting the installation, read the following rules:
- Power Supply: The device requires a stable DC 12V power supply. Connecting higher voltage or reversing polarity may permanently damage the electronics.
- Grounding: To ensure full surge protection and minimize interference, it is strictly recommended to connect the grounding terminal to a proper grounding installation.
- Operating Environment: The device is designed for indoor use. Protect it from direct moisture, rain, and extreme temperatures (above 55°C).
- Cabling: Use only high-quality twisted pair (Cat5 or higher). Using low copper content (CCA) cables may significantly limit the range and image quality.
- Maintenance: Clean only with a dry cloth. Disconnect the power before cleaning.
