1 Purpose and Functions
The universal ACTii AC7608 image and audio converter is a high-quality device based on advanced hardware conversion of digital HDMI signals to analog VGA signals with stereo audio support. The product allows for seamless connection of modern devices equipped with an HDMI output, such as PCs, laptops, DVRs, game consoles, or multimedia players, to older receivers with only a VGA input (e.g., CRT/LCD monitors, projectors).
The device features full automation – an intelligent processor automatically selects the appropriate output VGA resolution, matching it to the HDMI input signal, which eliminates the need for complex software configuration.
Main Features:

3 Installation and Operation Manual
Connection Sequence:
- Ensure the source device (e.g., computer) and receiver (e.g., monitor) are turned off.
- Connect the HDMI cable to the output on the source device and to the HDMI input on the converter.
- Connect the VGA cable to the VGA output on the converter and to the input on the monitor or projector.
- If audio is required, connect the included 3.5mm Jack cable to the audio output on the converter and the other end (RCA) to an amplifier or speakers.
- Connect the included USB power cable to the 5V socket on the converter and the other end to an available USB port on the computer or a 5V power adapter.
- Turn on the monitor, then turn on the source device. The converter will automatically detect the signal and adjust the display parameters.
4 Safety and Maintenance
Safe Usage Guidelines:
- The device is intended for indoor use only.
- Protect the converter from direct exposure to moisture, water, and other liquids.
- Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.
- Use only power cables with parameters compliant with the specification (5V DC).
- Do not open the device casing – unauthorized repairs may void the warranty and lead to electric shock.
- Disconnect power before cleaning. Use only a dry, soft cloth.
5 Troubleshooting
No image on the monitor:
Check if the USB power cable is connected correctly. Ensure that the HDMI and VGA cables are securely plugged into the sockets. Verify that the signal source is sending an image in a supported resolution (max 1080p).
Image is distorted or flickering:
This may be due to insufficient power. Connect the USB cable to a stronger power source (e.g., a 5V/1A mains charger instead of a computer USB port).
No audio:
Ensure that "HDMI Audio" is selected as the default output device in the source device's audio settings (e.g., in Windows). Check the connection of the Jack-RCA cable.
