1 Purpose and Functions

The ACTii AC3054 digital wireless motion detector is an advanced detection device designed for use in alarm systems operating at 433MHz. The device analyzes human movement in the protected area and, upon detecting a breach, generates a wireless alarm transmission to the control panel. Thanks to the use of a dual low-noise passive infrared sensor and advanced non-linear filtering technology with fuzzy logic, the detector ensures excellent detection parameters while maintaining very low power consumption.

The device has an optimized coverage range divided into zones, allowing for effective room monitoring:

• Maximum distance: up to 11-12 meters
• Middle zone: approx. 8 meters
• Near zone: approx. 5 meters
• Radio signal range: up to 200 meters in open space

3 Installation and Mounting

Choosing a mounting location:

To ensure optimal performance of the detector, the following rules must be observed:

• Recommended mounting height is from 1.7 m to 2.5 m.
• The detector can be mounted flat on a wall or in a corner using the included adjustable bracket.
• Avoid mounting near heat sources (radiators, air conditioners) and in places exposed to direct strong drafts.
• Do not point the sensor directly at windows where strong sunlight may enter.

Installation procedure:

1. Open the detector housing and install the 9V battery, paying attention to polarity.
2. Attach the mounting bracket to the wall or corner using wall plugs.
3. Place the detector on the bracket and set the appropriate tilt angle to cover the desired detection area.
4. After turning on the power, the LED will indicate standby mode. Perform a walk test to ensure the detector responds correctly to movement throughout the protected area.

4 Safety Rules and Maintenance

• Power supply: Use only high-quality 9V alkaline batteries. A weak battery can significantly reduce the radio transmission range.
• Lens maintenance: The Fresnel lens should be kept clean. Dust and dirt should be removed with a soft, damp cloth without the use of harsh detergents.
• Operating environment: The device is intended for indoor use. It should not be exposed to direct rain or extreme humidity (above 95%).
• Testing: It is recommended to regularly check the correct operation of the detector (once a month) by triggering a test alarm.
• Pets: The pet immunity function works most effectively when pets move near the floor. Large animals or animals jumping on furniture located in the sensor's field of view may trigger an alarm.
