1 Purpose and Features
The high-quality 433MHz antenna with 3.5dBi gain is designed to provide excellent range and signal stability in wireless communication systems operating in the 433MHz band. The device is ideal for use with alarm systems, gate controllers, IoT modules, and other radio equipment requiring a high-efficiency external antenna. Thanks to its omnidirectional radiation pattern, the antenna receives and transmits signals with equal efficiency in all directions on the horizontal plane.
Main features:
- ✔ Operating frequency: 433MHz
- ✔ High energy gain: 3.5dBi
- ✔ Strong magnetic base with a diameter of 30mm
- ✔ Long RG174 cable with a length of 2m
- ✔ Durable SMA-J (male) connector
- ✔ Omnidirectional pattern
- ✔ Wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +85°C
Application:
The antenna is used in a wide spectrum of radio systems, including home automation (Smart Home), security systems, remote control, and industrial data transmission. The magnetic base allows for quick installation on any metal surface, which is particularly useful in control cabinets, vehicles, or steel structures.

3 Installation and Connection Manual
Choosing the installation location:
For best performance, the antenna should be mounted on a flat, metal surface (e.g., vehicle roof, metal distribution board enclosure). The metal plane acts as a counterpoise, which significantly improves the antenna's gain and radiation pattern.
Installation sequence:
- Clean the surface where the magnetic base will be placed.
- Place the antenna vertically on the chosen metal surface. The strong magnet will ensure stable mounting.
- Route the RG174 cable to the receiving/transmitting device, avoiding sharp bends and close proximity to high-voltage lines that may generate interference.
- Screw the SMA-J connector into the device socket. Tighten the connector gently to ensure good electrical contact without damaging the thread.
4 Safety and Maintenance
Safety rules:
- Do not install the antenna near power lines. Contact between the antenna and high-voltage lines can result in death or serious injury.
- During a thunderstorm, it is recommended to disconnect the antenna from the device to minimize the risk of electronic damage due to lightning discharges.
- The device is designed for operation in a wide temperature range, but the SMA connector should be protected from direct moisture exposure if not properly sealed inside the device enclosure.
Maintenance:
The antenna does not require specialized maintenance. Periodically check the condition of the RG174 cable insulation and the cleanliness of the SMA connector. If the magnetic base becomes dirty, wipe it with a dry cloth to prevent scratching the mounting surface.
5 Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Poor signal range | Lack of metal base or terrain obstacles. | Mount the antenna on a larger metal surface and at a higher position. |
| No communication | Loose SMA connector or damaged cable. | Check the connection and cable continuity. |
| High interference | Proximity to other electronic devices or power cables. | Reroute the antenna cable away from interference sources. |
