The ACTii AC8387 industrial camera is an advanced high-class imaging device designed for operation in AHD, TVI, and CVBS monitoring systems. Equipped with a professional 5Mpix (2592x1944) SONY sensor, it ensures exceptional image detail, which is crucial for object and detail identification in security systems and industrial automation. The device features an integrated moto-zoom lens with 30x optical zoom and a fast, digital Auto-Focus system that guarantees image sharpness even with dynamic focal length changes.

Operating modes and compatibility:
The camera offers three signal transmission standards, making it extremely versatile:
- AHD / TVI mode: High-resolution digital modes dedicated to working with modern DVR recorders supporting the 5Mpix standard. Transmission is via coaxial cable.
- CVBS mode: Traditional analog mode (960H) that allows direct connection of the camera to older recorders, CCTV monitors, or TVs with BNC/RCA video inputs.

3 Control and Configuration
The ACTii AC8387 camera offers versatile zoom and focus control options, adapted to various installation needs.
1. Control via buttons on the housing:
There are buttons on the back of the camera allowing direct operation:
- MENU: Access to the OSD screen menu and confirmation of options.
- N (Near): Manual focus setting for nearby objects.
- F (Far): Manual focus setting for distant objects.
- W (Wide): Optical Zoom In.
- T (Tele): Optical Zoom Out.
2. RS485 remote control:
The camera has a built-in RS485 controller. Control wires must be connected to the appropriate terminals:
- A: RS485+ signal
- B: RS485- signal
This allows control of the camera from a DVR recorder, PTZ control keyboard, or computer with an appropriate interface.
3. Voltage control:
Voltage control terminals are available for automation systems:
- Z: Zoom
- F: Focus
- C: COM (Common)
4 Advanced Image Functions
Thanks to an advanced DSP processor, the camera offers a number of features to optimize image quality in difficult lighting conditions:
Wide range of illumination dynamics, allowing for a clear image in high-contrast scenes (e.g., view of a window).
Digital noise reduction, eliminating "snow" on the image in low light.
Backlight compensation, preventing the creation of silhouettes against a bright background.
Function to increase camera sensitivity (max. x30), enabling operation in extremely low light.
Possibility to mask selected image fragments that should not be subject to monitoring.
Image mirroring and sharpness adjustment for better detail readability.
5 Safety and Installation Instructions
Safety Rules:
- Power supply: The device requires a stabilized 12V DC power supply with a current capacity of at least 300mA. Using an improper power supply may damage the camera electronics.
- Polarity: Before connecting power, make sure the polarity is correct.
- Working environment: The camera is designed to operate in temperatures from -20°C to +70°C. Avoid installation in places exposed to direct action of strong electromagnetic fields.
- Installation: The camera should be mounted on stable surfaces, free from vibrations. The aluminum housing provides protection, however, in case of outdoor installation, adequate shielding against direct precipitation must be provided (if no additional external housing is used).
- Maintenance: The lens should only be cleaned with a soft microfiber cloth, avoiding scratches. Do not open the camera housing while energized.
