1 Purpose and Functions

The 12V Li-Ion UPS battery (model ACTii AC2686) is a professional emergency power supply designed for systems operating at 12V. It is a high-performance energy source dedicated to ensuring the continuous operation of monitoring systems (IP, AHD, TVI, DVI, CVBS cameras), network routers, DVR/NVR recorders, and various types of controllers in the event of a sudden power grid failure.

The device is equipped with an advanced power management system with a built-in charging controller that optimizes the cell charging process and protects them from overcharging. Thanks to the pass-through function, the battery can be permanently connected to both the charger and the powered device, acting as a classic UPS power supply – in the event of a power failure, there is an immediate and uninterrupted switch to battery power.

Performance and runtime:

The estimated runtime of the device is up to 30 hours of continuous operation for a standard surveillance camera. Please remember that the actual backup time is strictly dependent on the power consumption of the connected device (e.g., turning on IR illuminators in cameras shortens the operating time).

Connecting the device:

1. Connect the mains charger to the battery input socket (2.1mm/5.5mm socket).
2. Connect the battery output plug to the device to be powered (e.g., camera, router).
3. Plug the charger into a wall outlet (120-240V).
4. The device will start powering the receiver and simultaneously charge the internal cells.

4 Safety and Maintenance

The device is designed for safe indoor use. It has a number of built-in protections:

Important warnings:

• Never attempt to open the battery casing yourself.
• In case of mechanical damage to the housing or wires, immediately disconnect the device from the power supply.
• Li-Ion batteries must be disposed of at designated electronic waste collection points after their end-of-life.
• Do not short-circuit the output terminals – this may damage the circuit or cause a fire.
