1 Purpose and Functions

The ACTii AC1566 smart air damper is an advanced electrically controlled device designed for precise management of airflow in ventilation and heat recovery systems. Thanks to the integrated SMART WIFI module, the valve enables remote opening and closing of ventilation ducts from anywhere in the world using a smartphone. The device is ideal for optimizing HVAC system efficiency, allowing for timed ventilation shutdown in selected rooms or process automation based on environmental parameters.

The product features a solid construction made of thick PVC and a seal system that ensures high airtightness when closed. The damper supports advanced automation scenarios, working with humidity, temperature, or air quality sensors within the Tuya Smart ecosystem. An additional advantage is the ability to control it using the included radio remote control and integration with voice assistants such as Google Home or Amazon Alexa.

Control and automation capabilities:

The device offers a wide range of configuration options via mobile apps. Users can create work schedules (hourly, cyclical, sunrise/sunset-dependent) and build interactions with other SMART devices. For example, the damper can automatically close the air supply when the air quality sensor detects external pollution or open it when indoor humidity exceeds a set threshold.

3 Safety Instructions

• Always disconnect the power supply circuit before installation or maintenance.
• The device is intended for indoor use. Protect it from direct water exposure and extreme humidity (>90%).
• Do not exceed the allowable operating temperature range (-20°C to +55°C).
• Route power cables in a way that prevents accidental mechanical damage.
• If damage to the housing or cables is detected, immediately take the device out of service.
• Do not modify the electronic circuit or the drive mechanism yourself.

4 Installation and Configuration

Mechanical installation:

The damper has a standard diameter of 160mm. For installation in 150mm ducts, use the included reduction couplings. The couplings should be slid onto the damper ends to ensure a tight connection (use ventilation sealing tapes is recommended).

Electrical connection:

The device is equipped with a 100cm power cord. Connect according to the wire color scheme:

• Brown: Phase (L)
• White: Neutral (N)

App pairing (WIFI):

1. Download and install the Tuya Smart or Smart Life app from the App Store or Google Play.
2. Ensure your phone is connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network.
3. Connect the damper to power. If the device is not in pairing mode, hold the configuration button on the motor housing for approx. 5 seconds until the LED starts flashing rapidly.
4. In the app, select the "Add device" option and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Once successfully paired, you can control the damper, set timers, and create scenarios.

Radio remote operation:

The remote control operates at 433MHz (1527 coding) and has the following functions:

• Open button: Full damper opening (90°).
• Close button: Full damper closure (0°).
• STOP button: Immediate motor stop in current position (allows partial flow setting).
