1 Purpose and Functions

The ACTii AC9884 miniature camera with 700TVL resolution is a professional monitoring device designed for versatile applications in CCTV systems. Thanks to its compact design and robust, enamelled metal housing, it is ideal for interior monitoring in vehicles such as buses, trucks, excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and agricultural tractors. The device is also an excellent solution for discreet monitoring in buildings.

The camera features exceptional mounting flexibility; its body can be concealed behind vehicle upholstery or drywall in rooms, leaving only the lens visible. The use of a 2.1mm wide-angle lens allows for covering almost the entire interior of a vehicle when corner-mounted, making it an extremely effective surveillance tool.

Electrical connection:

The camera requires a stable DC power supply of 12V DC. The power consumption is approximately 150mA.

• Power supply: Connect the power adapter plug (2.1/5.5mm) to the camera's power socket. Ensure the polarity is correct (plus inside).
• Video signal: Connect a coaxial cable with a BNC plug to the camera's video socket. Connect the other end of the cable to a digital video recorder (DVR) or monitor supporting analog CVBS signal.

Installation and adjustment:

1. Choose a mounting location that ensures the desired field of view.
2. For hidden mounting, prepare a hole with the lens diameter in the upholstery or wall panel.
3. Attach the camera body using the mounting bracket.
4. Loosen the locking screws to set the appropriate camera viewing direction.
5. Focus adjustment: If the image is blurry, loosen the locking ring on the lens and gently rotate the lens until optimal focus is achieved, then tighten the lock.
6. After setting the frame, firmly tighten all position locking screws.

4 Safety and Maintenance

Safety rules:

• The device must be powered exclusively by 12V DC. Using higher voltage may permanently damage the camera.
• Do not mount the camera in places exposed to direct strong water jets unless an additional hermetic shield is used.
• Installation work should be performed with the power disconnected.
• Avoid pointing the lens directly at the sun or other very strong light sources, which may damage the CMOS sensor.

Maintenance:

The camera does not require complex maintenance procedures. Periodically check the lens cleanliness. If dirty, clean the lens with a soft, dry microfiber cloth or specialized optics cleaning agents. Do not use aggressive detergents or solvents.
