3 Installation and Connection
Terminal and wire description:
There is a connection terminal and output wires at the bottom of the housing. Particular caution should be exercised due to the 230V AC supply voltage.
Control terminal:
- AUTO: Activation of automatic scanning mode
- COM: Common
- RIGHT: Rotate right
- LEFT: Rotate left
Video connectors:
- BNC Cable: Video signal transmission
- Core (+): Vision signal
- Shield (-): Ground / mass
Mechanical assembly:
- Screw the base of the pan tilt unit to a stable surface using the included mounting screws.
- Mount the camera or other device on the top holder of the unit.
- If necessary, loosen the side screws of the holder to manually set the vertical tilt angle (up to 90°), then tighten them securely.
- Set the mechanical rotation limiters on the disk under the head if a range of less than 350° is required.
4 Operation Modes and Handling
Manual Mode:
Control is performed by applying voltage to the appropriate terminal contacts (LEFT or RIGHT relative to COM). This allows the operator to set the device position precisely.
Automatic Mode (AUTO-SCAN):
After connecting the power to the AUTO contact, the unit enters the cyclical scanning mode. The device will move from one limit switch to the other continuously. This function is ideal for monitoring large areas without operator intervention.
Rotation range limitation:
There are adjustable sliders/stoppers located under the rotation head. By sliding them, you can define the points where the unit should change direction (in AUTO mode) or stop (in manual mode).
5 Safety and Maintenance
Important safety warnings:
- High voltage: The device operates at 230V AC. Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician.
- Water protection: The unit can operate outdoors only under a shelter. It is essential to protect the device from direct contact with rain, snow, and flooding.
- Maximum load: Do not exceed the 7kg weight for the mounted device. Overloading can lead to permanent damage to the gear mechanism and motor.
- Power: Disconnect the power source before starting any installation or maintenance work.
Maintenance:
- Regularly check the stability of the mounting screw fixation.
- Clean the housing from dust using a dry cloth.
- Ensure that the cables are not twisted or worn as a result of the constant movement of the device.
