1 Purpose and Functions
The HD AHD TVI CVI CVBS to HDMI converter is a professional video device designed to convert high-definition analog signals into a digital HDMI signal. The device allows for direct connection of surveillance cameras operating in AHD, TVI, CVI, and CVBS standards to modern monitors, televisions, or recorders equipped with an HDMI input, ensuring smooth live image monitoring at resolutions up to 1080P at 60 frames per second.
The device features broad compatibility, supporting cameras with resolutions from 720P up to 8MP (4K). It is equipped with a BNC loop output, which allows for the transmission of a lossless signal to another device (e.g., a DVR recorder) over a distance of up to 500 meters, making it an ideal solution for extensive video surveillance systems.
Main features:
- ✔ Conversion of CVI/TVI/AHD/CVBS signals to HDMI standard.
- ✔ High HDMI output quality: 1080P / 60FPS.
- ✔ Support for 4K HD CVI/TVI/AHD/CVBS BNC loop output allowing for the restoration of lossless HD images.
- ✔ Capability for simultaneous signal output via BNC and HDMI ports.
- ✔ Support for synchronous display on multiple monitors using multiple converters.
- ✔ Automatic input resolution recognition: 720P, 1080P, 3MP, 4MP, 5MP, and 8MP.
- ✔ Visual light indicator informing about the device operation status.
- ✔ Support for high-resolution cameras up to 4K (8MP).
- ✔ Physical switch for changing the HDMI output resolution (1080p / 720p).
- ✔ AHD BNC loop signal transmission over a distance of up to 500 meters.
Important transmission information:
The device allows for signal transmission over a distance of 500 to 700 meters depending on the selected resolution and the quality of the coaxial cabling used.

3 Installation and Operation
Connecting the device:
- Connect the signal cable from the camera (AHD/TVI/CVI/CVBS) to the BNC IN input port on the converter.
- Connect your monitor or TV to the HDMI OUT port using a high-quality HDMI cable.
- (Optional) If you want to transmit the signal further to a DVR recorder, connect a BNC cable to the BNC LOOP OUT port.
- Connect the supplied 5V DC power adapter to the power socket on the converter, and then to a mains power outlet.
- Select the appropriate output resolution (720p or 1080p) using the switch on the housing, matching it to your monitor's capabilities.
LED indicators:
The device has signal LEDs that indicate power status and the presence of a video signal at the input. If the signal LED is not lit, check the connection to the camera and its power supply.
4 Safety Instructions
- Power supply: Use only the power adapter included in the kit (5V DC). Using a higher voltage power adapter may permanently damage the device.
- Operating environment: The device is intended for indoor use. Protect it from moisture, flooding, and extreme temperatures.
- Ventilation: Do not cover the vents in the metal housing. Ensure free airflow around the device to prevent overheating.
- Maintenance: Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning. Clean with a dry, soft cloth. Do not use detergents or solvents.
- Atmospheric discharges: During storms or prolonged periods of inactivity, it is recommended to disconnect the device from the power supply and disconnect BNC cables to avoid damage caused by surges.
5 Troubleshooting
No image on the HDMI monitor:
Check if the power LED on the converter is lit. Make sure the HDMI cable is correctly tightened. Try changing the output resolution using the 720p/1080p switch.
Image is distorted or black and white:
Check if the camera standard (AHD/TVI/CVI/CVBS) is supported. Ensure that the BNC cable length does not exceed the recommended 500-700 meters and that the cable is of good quality.
No signal on the loop output (Loop Out):
Check the cable connection between the converter and the recorder. The loop output transmits the signal in the same format as it was provided to the input.
