1 Purpose and Functions
The ACTii AC1102 Mini Keyboard Controller is an advanced control device designed for professional Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) systems. It is engineered to provide fast and precise access to key functions of PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) cameras and Moto Zoom lenses. Thanks to the ergonomic 3D joystick, the operator can smoothly control camera movement across three axes, which significantly facilitates tracking objects and monitoring large areas.
The device features robust construction from high-quality materials while maintaining miniature dimensions, which allows for space-saving on the operator's workstation. The intuitive interface and backlit LCD display ensure comfortable operation even in low-light conditions.

3 Installation and Connection
RS-485 bus connection:
The keyboard communicates with PTZ devices using the RS-485 standard. Signal wires should be connected according to polarity:
- Connector A (+): Connect to input A (+) of the camera or recorder.
- Connector B (-): Connect to input B (-) of the camera or recorder.
When controlling multiple devices, connect them in parallel in a bus topology. Remember to set unique ID addresses for each camera in the system.
Power supply:
The device requires 9V - 12V DC power. Only use the included power adapter or one with identical electrical parameters (min. 1A).
4 Safety Instructions
Important safety rules compliant with EU standards:
- Usage: The device is intended for indoor use only. Do not expose it to rain, moisture, or extreme temperatures.
- Power supply: Before connecting the power, ensure the outlet voltage matches the power adapter specifications. Do not use damaged power cords.
- Ventilation: Do not cover the device's ventilation holes. Ensure free airflow around the casing.
- Maintenance: Clean only with a dry, soft cloth. Disconnect the power before cleaning. Do not use solvents or strong detergents.
- Service: Do not attempt to repair the device yourself. Opening the casing carries a risk of electric shock and voids the warranty. All repairs should be entrusted to authorized service personnel.
