1 Purpose and Functions

The ACTii AC9549 foot pedal is a professional foot controller designed for remote management of MIG and TIG welder operating parameters. The device allows the operator to smoothly adjust welding current without the need to interrupt work or manually change settings on the machine panel. This is a key solution for precision welding tasks where dynamic current intensity changes are required based on material temperature and welding position.

3 Installation and Connection Instructions

Installation steps:

1. Make sure the welder is turned off before connecting accessories.
2. Locate the remote control socket (7-pin) on the front or rear panel of the welder.
3. Align the cutout in the pedal plug with the tab in the welder socket.
4. Insert the plug fully and secure it by tightening the locking ring (if present in the model).
5. Turn on the welder and select the remote control mode on the device control panel.

4 Safety and Maintenance

Safe usage rules:

• The device should be used only on a dry and stable surface.
• Avoid spilling water or other conductive liquids on the pedal.
• The control cable should be routed in a way that prevents tripping or running over it with heavy equipment.
• In case of damage to the cable insulation, stop using it immediately and have it repaired by a qualified service center.

Maintenance:

Regularly check the condition of the 7-pin plug for dirt and bent pins. The pedal housing can be cleaned with a dry cloth or compressed air to remove welding dust and metal filings that may affect the smoothness of the mechanical movement.
