High Temperature Neodymium Magnet - The screw uses a high strength rare earth neodymium magnet specially adapted to operate in high temperature environments, extracting unwanted iron particles from the vehicle engine. Neodymium magnets are one of the strongest magnets available in the world, giving strength to hold weights over 1 kg. This gives our propeller tremendous force to effectively pull these unwanted metals out of the engine oil for longer engine life.
304 Stainless Steel - The drain plug market has tons of options that are made of aluminum. Aluminum is the inferior metal choice due to its strength and often shear / snap, leaving a broken bolt stuck in the oil pan.
Drain plugs are made of high quality materials. Our magnet will extract small metal particles that are too fine for the oil filters to catch, and will also trap large metal chips.
Easy to install. Install the bolt in place of the current drain plug. The bolt is supplied with an aluminum crusher washer, which is recommended to be replaced with each oil change. Just wipe any debris off the magnet when changing the oil.
Our screws are very often used in reduction gears of electric cars (Hyundai Kona electric). Oil filters are usually not used in such transmissions and the oil is changed very rarely. Metal particles floating in the oil cause faster gear wear and increase noise.
