Remote Frame Adjustment – Motozoom Lenses

Lenses with a motozoom function are the most advanced type of lens for industrial cameras (not including integrated PTZ cameras). They allow for automatic and remote control of zooming in and out (wide), as well as automatic focusing (Auto-Focus).

Control is most often handled via the camera's interface (e.g., over the network in IP cameras) or through the recorder (e.g., using CoC control in analog HD systems).

Advantages of motozoom lenses:

• Installation Convenience: The installer can precisely set the frame while looking at the monitor at the recorder, without needing to climb the ladder to the camera again.
• Remote Correction: If the client's needs change over time (e.g., they want to monitor a different part of the lot), the zoom and focus can be changed remotely.
• Precise Auto-Focus: Guarantees a perfectly sharp image after every focal length change.

We distinguish between motozoom lenses with automatic iris adjustment (Auto-Iris), which are essential for outdoor use, and those without Auto-Iris (for indoor use).
