Fixed Lenses

Fixed Focal Length Lenses for CCTV Cameras

Fixed lenses for industrial cameras are the primary type of lens used in monitoring. They are characterized by a set, unchangeable focal length, which translates to a constant angle of view for the camera.

They do not have focal length (zoom) adjustment. They are available with manual iris adjustment (Manual Iris) or without adjustment.

How to choose a fixed lens?

The choice of focal length depends on how wide an area and from what distance you want to monitor:

  • Wide-angle lenses (e.g., 2.8mm, 4mm): Offer a wide field of view, ideal for monitoring small rooms, corridors, or a general overview outdoors. Objects appear smaller and more distant.
  • Standard lenses (e.g., 6mm, 8mm): Provide an angle of view similar to the human eye.
  • Narrow-angle / telephoto lenses (e.g., 12mm, 16mm, 25mm): Allow for significant magnification of distant objects, but at the cost of a very narrow field of view. Ideal for monitoring gates, entrances, or specific points from a long distance.

Our fixed lenses fit most industrial cameras with a standard CS-Mount.
