Alarm Sensors - The Eyes and Ears of Your System
Alarm sensors (also called detectors) are key components of any alarm system. They detect a threat - whether it's an intruder, or a random event like a fire or flood - and send a signal to the alarm control panel, which triggers the alarm.
The selection of appropriate sensors and their correct placement determines the effectiveness of the entire system. In our offer, you will find a full range of sensors for wired and wireless systems:
- Motion sensors (PIR): The most popular type, detecting motion based on temperature changes (e.g., an intruder). Pet-immune (PET) versions are available.
- Magnetic sensors (Reed Switches): Mounted on windows and doors, they trigger an alarm when opened.
- Glass break sensors: React to the characteristic sound of breaking glass.
- Smoke and heat sensors: A key element of fire protection.
- Gas sensors: Detect natural gas (methane) or propane-butane.
- Flood sensors: Protect rooms exposed to water leaks, e.g., bathrooms or basements.
- Infrared barriers (IR): Create an invisible "curtain" protecting open spaces or the property perimeter.
