Network Cards

Network Cards – Connection to the Internet and Local Network

A network card (NIC - Network Interface Card) is a component that allows a computer to communicate with other devices on a network and access the internet. Although most modern computers and laptops have integrated network cards, there are situations where an additional or faster solution is needed.

Types of Network Cards in the Actii.pl Offer

We offer various types of network cards to meet your needs:

1. Wi-Fi Network Cards (Wireless)

Allow you to connect your computer to a wireless network. Essential for desktop computers or laptops with a damaged Wi-Fi module.

  • USB Wi-Fi Cards: The easiest to install. Just plug them into a USB port. Available in miniature ("nano") versions or with larger, external antennas for better range and signal stability.
  • PCI-Express (PCIe) Wi-Fi Cards: Mounted inside a desktop computer in a PCIe slot on the motherboard. They usually offer the highest performance, stability, and best range thanks to large, external antennas. Many models also offer an integrated Bluetooth module.

When choosing a Wi-Fi card, pay attention to the supported standards (e.g., fast Wi-Fi 5 - 802.11ac or the latest Wi-Fi 6 - 802.11ax).

2. Wired Network Cards (Ethernet / LAN)

Enable connection to the network using an RJ45 cable. Used when:

  • The built-in LAN port is damaged.
  • A higher-speed port is needed (e.g., 2.5 Gbps or 10 Gbps) than the standard gigabit port.
  • An additional network port is required (e.g., for a server).

Available as internal cards (PCIe) or external (USB to RJ45 Adapter).

Upgrade your network connection with Actii.pl. Choose a fast Wi-Fi USB or PCIe network card or a gigabit Ethernet adapter.
